136 Mud Drilling Fluids School is the only mud school in the US with the flexibility to work around most oilfield schedules, primarily 14/14, 20/10, and 28/14. You DO NOT have to quit your oilfield job in oder to attend our program. We are also the only HDD mud engineering specific certification school in Texas (to our knowledge). Not only do we teach oil and gas mud engineering, we also teach HDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling - aka boring) mud courses as well. We are the lowest priced mud school in the US and we have trained a large percentage of the active mud engineers across the country. One of our many goals at school is to maximize daily in-class hours in order to minimize your time away from home and your expenses. Coupled with small classes, 8-10 hrs. in class daily, and experienced students, our certification is quick and precise.
Employers and Mud Companies:
We primarily only train folks with prior Downhole Drilling side, Completions, Production, Fracking, Cementing, Pipeline, or other oilfield experience. We are not in the business of targeting people from other sectors or with only military backgrounds. Don't get us wrong, we love our military but we seek out oilfield experience. Our students are already familiar with drilling rigs, mud systems, circulations, cement jobs, displacement, daily operations, components, machinery, mud pumps, solids control, centrifuges, shakers, hoppers, pits valves, safety, rig dynamics, etc.., therefor our mud school is fast paced. Since we work around oilfield schedules, we attract already well trained and experienced personnel such as: Derrick hands, Drillers, Pushers, Company men, Solids Control, Cementers, Frackers, Pumpers, Directional Boring and other professionals from all over the country who are looking to advance their careers.
